May Meeting with Julie Korinke Julie Korinke will speak about the importance of Planned Parenthood at our meeting on May 21st. May 21st is also the deadline to register to vote in the June 5th Primary Election.
April Meeting With Sukhee Kang At our April meeting we heard from Irvine Mayor Sukhee Kang, who is running for U.S. Congress in the 45th Congressional District. CD45 includes the cities of Irvine, Tustin, Orange, Villa Park, Anaheim Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Coto de Caza. Our March speaker was Fran Sdao, who spoke about funding education in California. We also heard from author, activist and Congressional candidate Jerry Tetalman who'll be going up against Darrell Issa in 2012 (running in the new 49th Congressional District which encompasses south Orange County).
