Welcome to the Canyon Democrats!

The Canyon Democrats is officially chartered through the Democratic Party of Orange County, California. The club serves the cities of Trabuco, Santiago, Silverado, Modjeska and Dove Canyons, Walden, Cielo, Foothill Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Las Flores, Ladera Ranch and Mission Viejo

June Meeting

Our June speaker was Jennifer Searfoss who covered the subject of CO2 emissions and reduction of energy use, which is currently being considered at both national and international levels. The Juicing Orange County project of the Orange County Global Warming Committee will assess and report current city programs to implement energy saving policies.

Jennifer Searfoss, a lawyer by training and federal lobbyist in a previous life, is bringing her expertise in grassroots activism to the Juicing Orange County project. At the meeting, she explained the fundamentals of CO2 reduction and the effective strategies for promoting wise public policy decisions by our local governmental agencies.
